July 15 – October 1, 2022
The Midwest Museum of American Art is pleased to present a new exhibit, “Journey Through Indiana,” featuring the work of South Bend-based artist Kay Westhues and Bloomington-based photographer John Bower.
Through the photographs of Kay Westhues and John Bower, this exhibition explores the ordinary yet extraordinary lives of everyday Hoosiers. The exhibit opens the viewer to aspects of people’s lives illustrated by the places they call home, their work, and pastimes. Both photographers seek to honor the achievements of the past and the traditions that endure. Through this, they comment on present-day struggles while expressing concern for the future of rural Indiana in the 21st century.
This exhibit has been organized by Assistant Curator, Randall Roberts.
This exhibit will close Saturday, October 1, 2022.
